Payroll Coordinator

Remote-Eastern Time Zone

As we grow, we are seeking a skilled Payroll Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our company in a fully remote, salaried position.

With a standard workweek of Monday to Friday, 40 hours, we offer semi-flexible hours within the Eastern Time Zone : 8 : 00am to 4 : 00pm or 9 : 00am to 5 : 00pm.

If you possess experience in payroll management, proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, preferrable Workday also, and embrace a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you.

While residence in the Eastern Time Zone is highly preferred, we will also consider candidates residing in the Central Time Zone who demonstrate strong payroll experience and the preferred skillsets.

Required Skills Include :

  • Assists in the resolution of various employee payroll problems, concerns, and questions, either over the telephone or via Payroll Inbox.
  • Ensures accurate, neat, organized, and up-to-date filing of all payroll reports and records.
  • Acts as back up for the Payroll Manager for the overall payroll operation.
  • Enters, maintains, and / or processes information in the payroll system; information may include employees' hourly rates, salaries, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, and other information.
  • Reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision and have a sense of urgency when appropriate.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • The ability to take initiative and work independently.

The selected candidate must also be able to :

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Possess the willingness to learn.
  • Be flexible and open to changing priorities.
  • Be energetic with a helpful demeanor.
  • Have a strong work ethic.
  • Be able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a steady workload.

Experience :

  • At least two years of payroll experience required.
  • Previous Accounting or Bookkeeping Experience preferred.
  • Must have experience with ADP Workforce Now.
  • Experience in Workday a plus.
  • Experience with 401(k) Plans and Benefits a plus.
