The DeKalb County School District is seeking an experienced and professional Payroll Analyst I.

Title: Analyst I, Payroll Under general supervision, processes and maintains data involved with the generation of the DeKalb County School District’s (DCSD) payroll system; and reviews, researches and resolves issues and concerns pertaining to employee pay. Essential Functions: The following duties are representative for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Collects, researches and reviews payroll input activity in DCSD’s payroll software system (including extra activity pay, substitute pay, and part-time pay).
Reviews and researches keyed data generated during payroll processing runs.
Researches and resolves issues and concerns related to pay or keyed input from the local school/center level.
Communicates payroll issues by email, phone, and facsimile to departments, schools and individual employees.
Resolves pay discrepancies.
Reviews and researches manual check and void requests prior to processing.
Provides support to bookkeepers at schools and centers.
Manages Payroll files of source documents.
May provide training and one-on-one mentoring for bookkeepers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Associate degree from an approved accredited college or university in finance or human resources preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years previous experience working in a Payroll field or Human Resources field required.
