Account Executive
Job Summary

We are a premier consulting firm in the renewable energy sector, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Account Executive to join our San Diego office.
In this role, you will be instrumental in driving our business growth by strategically identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities in the renewable energy market.
You will work closely with industry leaders and decision-makers, promoting our suite of consulting services to help clients achieve their renewable energy goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead the End-to-End Sales Journey: Guide the sales process from initial prospecting and lead generation through to negotiation and deal closure. Customize our service offerings to align with customer needs and objectives, ensuring a client-centric approach in all sales activities.
• Market Mastery: Gain comprehensive knowledge of the renewable energy sector, including current trends, major industry players, and regulatory landscapes. Use this expertise to identify and engage potential clients with precision, adapting strategies to fit market dynamics.
• In-depth Client Consultation: Perform thorough needs analyses to grasp clients' specific requirements, challenges, and goals. Assist Project Team in crafting tailored proposals that address these factors directly, demonstrating our value proposition and expertise in renewable energy solutions.
• Relationship Building and Expansion: Establish and nurture strong relationships with industry decision-makers, positioning our Solutions as a go-to advisor in renewable energy consulting. Actively explore opportunities to expand business within existing client verticals, reinforcing our commitment to their long-term success.
• Navigate Sales Cycle: Manage intricate sales processes from the first engagement to successful deal closure. This includes delivering impactful presentations, developing detailed proposals, leading negotiations, and overseeing contract finalization. Maintain ongoing communication with clients, seeking quarterly feedback to enhance service delivery.
• Sales Forecasting and Pipeline Management: Keep a dynamic sales pipeline and ensure the accuracy of sales forecasts using HubSpot. Regularly report these insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
• Brand Ambassadorship: Act as our Solutions advocate at industry conferences, networking events, and professional gatherings. Increase our visibility and influence in the renewable energy community by sharing insights, participating in discussions, and connecting with peers and potential clients.
• Feedback Loop and Continuous Improvement: Establish a structured feedback loop with clients and internal teams to gather insights on the sales process and client satisfaction. Use this feedback to drive continuous improvements in sales strategy, client engagement, and service offerings.
• Reporting: Regular reporting to Senior Management on the status of sales process and prospecting.
• Coaching and Training: Participating in coaching and mentoring programs as provided by the company.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.

Key Skills:
• This position requires an individual who can collaborate with colleagues and work independently with minimal supervision. Have a strong ability to manage multiple project deadlines.
• Be comfortable communicating on conference calls. Also, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

To be qualified for the Account Executive position you must:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B sales, preferably in the renewable energy or environmental consulting sectors.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development, and financing.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in HubSpot software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
• Be collaborative while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills with a high level of communication: interpersonal, persuasive, negotiating, and relationship-building abilities required.
• Ability to meet multiple difficult deadlines; able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced changing environment.
• Self-starter; comfortable working in a remote setting.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
1. Prolonged sitting, including as a driver or passenger in an automobile.
2. Frequent telephone and in-person communication must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate with others.
3. Must be able to see well enough to read the computer screen, review plans, and product materials, spot, identify and evaluate potential additional product/service needs while online or onsite with a customer.
