There are three key program/project responsibilities of this job: Business Management, Operations Management, and Technology Management including the definition & structuring of strategic, complex cross organizational, cross entity transformational change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Definition & structuring of strategic, complex cross organizational and cross entity transformational change initiatives: Upon identification of business issue or opportunity (e.g., manage re-engineering initiative, diagnose issues between cross-functional units and develop plan to solve) lead a group of stakeholders through process to define the problem/opportunity, design solution options and their respective implications (time, cost, risk, etc.), and create action plan to address. Position requires critical relationship building, influencing stakeholders/steering team members.

• Business Management: Accountable for general business management activities including Business updates to internal and external stakeholders and planning and management of business unit Re-engineering initiatives.

• Operations Management: Align with business leaders to establish an operations and production support function within Business Unit. Ensure increased transparency and planning to deliver on overall service and support levels Develop operational metrics and reporting construct to drive decisioning and timely problem resolution. Provide leadership to direct reports (if applicable), contractors, support partners, and cross-functional project participants that includes work direction, coaching and feedback, employee development, and performance management. Ensure that direct reports/contractors/project participants are meeting project timelines and commitments. Provide day-to-day leadership of the project teams in place for strategic and complex transformational change initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• 10 years of relevant experience

• Demonstrated strategic planning and significant project management skills, including cross functional projects with complex ambiguity.

• Demonstrated experience with finance and operations with ability to navigate Ameriprise.

• Ability to identify and resolve/mitigate issues or risks associated with projects.

• Prior management and leadership skills required.

• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale project initiatives to successful completion and implementation.

• Strong relationship building skills; highly effective communication skills that include ability to gain acceptance of others to a point of view.
