This is a billing role for someone looking to ensure all customer billing questions and concerns are handled with care, accuracy, and fantastic customer service. What You'll Do... The Billing Specialist for American Pest works with our finance team to assist customers with billing and payment issues. This role includes verifying customers account information, correctly explaining charges on an invoice, taking payments, and working with other billing specialists to research and resolve billing discrepancies.
Who You Are... So, what does it take to be successful as a Billing Specialist at American Pest? For starters, you'll have an inner drive to deliver the best service possible and satisfy every customer! You'll also have...
  • 1-2 years of billing experience (preferred)
  • 1 year of pest control experience (preferred)
  • Experience using PestPac navigation and transactional processes (preferred)
  • Experience using FRONT to respond to billing emails
  • Experience using Bill Trust
  • Experience using Affiliated Soft Phone
  • Experience using MS Windows/Office and cloud-based software - Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience confidently discussing service offerings, pricing, and refund policies/processes with customers
  • The ability to effectively manage your time, prioritize multiple tasks, and maximize performance while remaining customer-focused
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound mathematical skills
  • The ability to quickly build rapport with customers using empathy and "relate statements"
  • The ability to effectively de-escalate customers
  • The ability to actively listen to customers and respond appropriately
  • Experience with handling credit memos
  • Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong follow-up skills, high attention to detail, and a desire for getting things right
  • A desire to work as part of a team and to provide backup when necessary for team members
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma (College degree preferred)
