American Pest Management is Hiring a Billing Specialist Near Fulton, MD

Job Description: Overview Billing Specialists play a vital role within American Pest, ensuring all customer billing questions and concerns are handled with great care and accuracy. This includes verifying that the customer’s account information is accurate, correctly explaining charges on an invoice, taking payments, and working closely with other Billing Specialists to research and resolve billing discrepancies. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Issue credit memos and refunds once approved by management Process, review, and release payment batches Handle chargeback dispute resolutions received from Merchant service provider Assist with account research and corrections as needed Process and post payments onto customer accounts as well as research any mis-applied payment and/or account discrepancies Assist with inbound/outbound phone calls and emails from external/internal customers Assist with Monitoring Billing and Accounts Receivable Email Qualifications 1-2 years of billing experience (preferred) 1 year of pest control experience (preferred) Experience using PestPac navigation and transactional processes Experience using FRONT to respond to billing emails Experience using Bill Trust Experience using Affiliated Soft Phone Experience using MS Windows/Office and cloud-based software – Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience confidently discussing service offerings, pricing, and refund policies/processes with customers The ability to effectively manage your time, prioritize multiple tasks, and maximize performance while remaining customer-focused Strong verbal and written communication skills Sound mathematical skills The ability to quickly build rapport with customers using empathy and “relate statements” The ability to effectively de-escalate customers The ability to actively listen to customers and respond appropriately Experience with handling credit memos Strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy The ability to be a positive, professional, upbeat, team player Strong follow-up skills, high attention to detail, and a desire for getting things right A desire to work as part of a team and to provide backup when necessary for team members The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. High school diploma (College degree preferred) American Pest is the premier provider of Integrated Pest Management for Washington D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
