Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practioner to join our team. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practioner, you will provide specialized care to patients with mental health disorders. Your role will involve assessing patients, developing care plans, and providing therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather information about mental health history, symptoms, and current functioning
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans for patients
- Provide therapeutic interventions such as counseling, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of treatment
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in Nevada
- Must be willing to be licensed in other states for teletherapy
- Psychiatric NP required
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, assessment tools, and evidence-based treatments
- Familiarity with clinical research related to mental health
- Ability to conduct utilization review and ensure compliance with industry standards
