Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
- Diagnose and treat various eye conditions and diseases
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
- Perform minor surgical procedures, such as removing foreign bodies from the eye
- Educate patients on proper eye care and hygiene practices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state license to practice optometry
- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye examinations
- Familiarity with ophthalmic equipment and instruments
- Experience in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Epic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
