Global Commercial Services (GCS) at American Express is the global leader in providing payments solutions for Small, Medium and Large businesses. The Business Financing, Payments, and Digital Experiences (BFPD) team sits within GCS and is passionate about crafting products that are the best choice of our customers.

The Virtual Payments Team within BDPD is responsible for a suite of virtual card capabilities and central bill products that give our commercial customers enhanced security, control and enriched data for their businesses and travel payments. You will be joining a successful, distributed team that is accelerating the growth of virtual cards, a key component of our commercial offerings.

As part of our team, the Product Manager/Senior Product Manager will be the expert on our customers and competitors and will collaborate with Blue Box collaborators to bring the best experiences and products to market. How will you make an impact in this role?

• Develop go-to-market and sales enablement strategies to increase customer acquisition and incremental volume globally
• Evaluate new product constructs with partners including Pricing, Finance, Risk, Merchant Services and other teams
• Define and monitor metrics of success to inform strategic backlog prioritization and platform strategy
• Influence external partners and global Amex teams (field, marketing, partnerships, internal product teams) to bring products and enhancements to market
• Provide key project updates & strategy proposals to leadership. Assist with deck creation, storytelling and project roadmaps. Ability to create pivot tables and pull data via excel to help make data driven decisions and accelerate product capabilities.
• Document requirements, customer journeys and business value to support strategic build to further enhance the virtual payments product
• Work cross-functionally with product development, product owners, and technology to deliver capabilities
• Support in go to market activities such as approvals and press releases

Minimum Qualifications

• Product development or product management experience
• Experience leading multiyear projects with large dataset
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide access to team on project progression and potential risks
• Experience working directly with clients or external partners – managing communications, expectations, and being the external “face” of a team, with impeccable attention to detail and professionalism
• A problem solver who has proven success in removing roadblocks and brainstorming alternate solutions
• An innovative and data driven problem solver who can understand customer journeys and propose suggestions to meet client needs in an inquisitive and strategic manner
• 5 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of the Virtual Payments product and onboarding processes

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits
