TITLE: Usher
REPORTS TO: Audience Services Manager, Shift House Managers
STATUS: Seasonal/Part Time/Non-Exempt, Union
GRADE: $18/hour
Position Purpose: Ushers are relied on to efficiently and safely guide the flow of audiences throughout events and performances, and to champion A.C.T.s efforts in providing a warm, equitable and inclusive experiences for patrons, staff, students, volunteers and visitors alike. Ushers may also be trained for, and assigned additional roles or tasks, such as Ticket Takers, Assisted Listening Attendants or Volunteer Usher guide.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to respond quickly, both mentally and physically, in order to handle competing requests, complaints, emergencies and other high pressure situations that might arise. Agile up and down staircases. Able to lift at least 35 lbs (stanchions, program boxes, ticket podiums, etc.). Ability to see well while moving in a darkened theater. Ability to assist others physically in an evacuation scenario.
