Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and outgoing individual to join our team as a Restaurant Host. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. In addition to greeting and seating guests, you will be responsible for executing physical marketing initiatives by reaching out to nearby apartment complexes to promote our restaurant. Furthermore, you will actively engage with our online community by creating engaging social media posts.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcome as soon as they enter the restaurant.
• Manage the seating process efficiently, taking into account reservations and walk-in guests.
• Provide accurate wait times and manage the waiting list.
• Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable.
• Engage with guests to ensure their needs are met and address any concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand and surrounding areas.
• Execute physical marketing initiatives by visiting adjacent apartment complexes and inviting residents to visit the restaurant.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with neighboring communities to promote brand awareness.
• Assist in creating engaging content for social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
• Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, and engage with followers to enhance the online presence of the restaurant.
• Collaborate with the management team to brainstorm and implement creative marketing strategies.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Uphold company policies and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Outgoing and personable demeanor with a genuine passion for providing exceptional guest experiences.
• Basic knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Reliable transportation for visiting neighboring apartment complexes.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.34 - $15.47 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
