DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Device Offline Sales & Marketing (OSM) Team is looking for a smart, results-oriented and data-driven Sales Operations Specialist to support the sales and operations planning with retail partners assorting Amazon Devices. In this role you must be able to build relationships with internal teams and external partners, clearly communicate expectations, learn retailers' unique internal processes and then work with them to drive process improvements. The successful candidate will have great attention to detail and be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task while managing many cross functional projects. The role will focus on maintaining day to day operations while collaborating with retail partners for continuous improvement of workflows to improve partnerships and identifying opportunities for long-term solutions for automation and incremental sales opportunities.
As a member of the NA Sales Operations (NASO) team, you will own supporting direct retailer accounts for Amazon Devices along with our Account Management team. You must demonstrate a strong, metrics driven approach to track all issues, actions and resulting improvements and strong facilitation skills are required to drive improvements from retail partner interactions into engineering teams to systematically remove road-blocks.
Key job responsibilities
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize internal and external sales processes, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Workflow Management: Manage day-to-day sales operations tasks to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of Amazon Devices.
Automation Solutions: Evaluate current processes and systems to identify areas for automation, and lead initiatives to implement automation solutions that increase productivity and reduce manual effort.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Channel Marketing, Field Sales, Finance, Logistics and Tech to align on process improvements and ensure seamless integration of sales operations with other departments.
External Engagement: Collaborate with external partners, such as vendors and distributors, to optimize processes and improve collaboration for mutual benefit.
Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, informing strategic decision-making and driving continuous optimization of sales operations.
Training and Documentation: Develop and maintain training materials and documentation for sales processes and systems, ensuring that team members are equipped to effectively utilize tools and follow established procedures.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards, and implement measures to continuously monitor and improve quality in sales operations.
A day in the life
As a Sales Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for influencing and motivating internal and external partners to effectively launch, order, promote and end of life Amazon Devices. The successful candidate will be experienced at leading cross-functional projects and execute quickly across internal and external teams. They are a self-starter who can listen, form insight, and execute while defining the strategic vision for process improvement and automation across the organization. They will have a balance of earning trust of their stakeholders while executing against tight timelines. They will have a passion for technology, innovation and a willingness to challenge the status quo. A desire and ability to build a strong trusted network with stakeholder teams and external retail partners is essential to this role.
About the team
The Amazon Devices Offline Sales & Marketing team develops relationships with new and existing offline (non-Amazon) retailers to expand product selection and distribution in physical retail locations and beyond where customers can experience all of Amazon's devices and accessories firsthand in the real world. We anticipate customer and partner needs, meet our customers where they shop, and engage throughout the product lifecycle. We enable the invention and sales of new and engaging devices and services that customers around the world love. We set audacious goals and are looking for people who can help us reach and exceed them.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5 years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
