Functions and Responsibilities

• Understands and adheres to established policies and procedures.
• Provides HHA services and procedures as assigned.
• Teaches and counsels the patient and family/significant others regarding the care needs and other related problems of the patient at home.
• Maintains accurate and complete records of observations, treatments and care of patient.
• Attends staff meetings and/or IDG conferences an in-services as scheduled.
• Assists the patient/family in learning appropriate self-care techniques.

Qualifications

• Current CHHA license.
• At least one (1) year experience as an HHA.
• Acceptance of philosophy and goals of this Hospice.
• Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment with excellent communication skills.
• Completion of a Hospice training program prior to providing care.
• Ability to speak the Russian language fluently to patients and their caregivers and translate when needed.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
