The Butz Family of Companies seeks a Enterprise Controller to help ensure financial reporting and principals are being met Enterprise wide. This position is located in the corporate office in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This individual will aide in the development of forecasts for proposed projects of the organization, measures actual performance against operating plans and standards, and interpret the results of operations for all levels of management. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring that financial compliance is of the utmost importance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the preparation of local, state, and federal tax filings including providing timely information to external accountants
• Maintain and update a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department•Analyze key operating metrics and provide meaningful feedback to management
• Calculate and report on key financial and operating metrics
• Manage the production of quarterly and annual budget and forecasts
• Facilitate the annual audit including preparing information requested by the external auditors, establishing timelines for completion, and delivery of timely reports to third party users
• Lead the procurement process of insurance plans with Human Resources
• Well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations
• Knowledge of percentage of completion accounting

Qualifications typically include a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience. Seven (7) plus years of applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and job experience. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant strongly preferred. Knowledge of regulatory requirements with respect to processing accounting transactions. Excellent communication (oral and written) skills. Experience in the construction industry and Vista by Viewpoint is a plus.
