POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Position Overview:

Shields Point, LLC, a subsidiary of Afognak Native Corporation is currently seeking qualified Shift Supervisors with 5 years’ experience, to support the operations of a Security Services contract. Shift Supervisors are assigned to duty at a specific building and supervise a specific shift of subordinate personnel in support of the security services contract that will provide, operate, manage, and maintain a uniformed protective security force, for the physical protection of the DOT Headquarters (HQ) Complex in Washington, D.C. and the Federal Aviation Administration Buildings, in Washington, DC.

This opportunity is for a POTENTIAL CONTRACT award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Consideration for a potential contract may require a signed letter of intent. If the contract is awarded, another position posting will be available on the Company Careers portal.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Provide the level of supervision necessary to ensure productive Protective Security Officers are as follows:
  • Are properly trained.
  • Perform all duties as specified in accordance with the contract and Post Orders for the security post assigned.
  • Are properly uniformed and present a neat and professional appearance as referenced in the Security Manual and Resource Tool (SMART BOOK).
  • Are thoroughly knowledgeable about their duties and demonstrate the ability to act effectively during emergencies or other unusual situations.
  • Possess all necessary permits, CPR and first aid certifications, credentials, etc., as required by the contract or by local or state law.
• Recommend corrective actions as needed for personnel.
• In the case of emergency conditions requiring immediate attention, the COR may direct the Contractor's on-site Supervisor to temporarily divert personnel from their normal post duties to respond to the emergency conditions.
• Must take the required training prior to assuming duties under the contract.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must possess a minimum of five years’ experience in law enforcement; or five years’ experience in a security related field; or a combination of the two.
• Three years of exceptional service or experience must have been in a supervisory position.
• Shift Supervisors must have one year of security supervisory experience.
• The Supervisor’s must possess two years of college in any field of study, or have substantial and credible law enforcement, military or business management experience.
• Must read and be familiar with the FPS Security Manual and Resource Tool (SMART) Book prior to assuming duties.
• Must have experience and the ability to successfully manage fifteen (15) or more persons in a structured work environment.
• Comply with all current FPS firearms suitability, licensing, and permit requirements.
• Supervisors serving as an armed PSO must annually complete a signed and dated Lautenberg Amendment Statement/Domestic Violence certification that satisfies the legal requirements of the Lautenberg Amendment, 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) (8) and (9). This certification is valid for one (1) year.
• Must pass a suitability determination conducted by the Government.
• Must be a United States Citizen
