Position Overview:

The Corporate Customer Support Department (CCSD) provides essential administrative support to the scientific, technical, and administrative communities of NAVAIR. The Communications and Organizational Support Division, within the CCSD, provide administrative products and services to reinforce all the NAWCWD operations. This mission provides the NAWCWD with administrative readiness by providing a strategic workforce of excellence. The Administrative and Organizational Support Branch (MAO Code D/EC12200), within the Communications and Organizational Support Division, administers the Office Manager Entry Program (OMEP) and provides qualified candidates to meet the NAWCWD administrative, clerical, and secretarial needs.

General Clerks are responsible for filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file, or operating office equipment, (e.g., mimeograph, photocopy, addressograph or mailing machine), following clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence, such as coding and filing documents in an extensive alphabetical file and operating basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Contractor shall receive and direct incoming phone calls and visitors. Answer routine general inquiries from telephone calls and visitors. Receive, screen, and distribute incoming mail.
  • The Contractor shall prepare and review official correspondence, ensure that proper format, grammar, and spelling are used in creating, editing, and preparing documents.
  • The Contractor shall be responsible for building and equipment maintenance, telephones, personnel moves, and assisting with facility upgrades.
  • The Contractor shall utilize automated computer systems to maintain calendars, schedule meetings and training sessions for the organization.
  • The Contractor shall communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • The Contractor shall interact professionally with all levels of management within NAWCWD both internal and external.
  • The Contractor shall ensure familiarity with the NAVAIR and NAWCWD concept of operations and observance of safe and effective work habits, including Information Assurance and protection of classified/ confidential/Privacy Act information.
  • The Contractor shall monitor and safeguard Privacy Act information.
  • The Contractor shall ensure that any classified correspondence/material is properly prepared per DON instruction before mailing.
  • The Contractor shall provide escorting for U.S. and Foreign National visitors as assigned.
  • The Contractor shall assist with inventory and inventory control programs.
  • The Contractor shall maintain a Government data repository containing Command Reutilization and Disposal (CRuD) and Command Artifacts data.
  • The Contractor shall copy or scan CRuD documents and return them by email or guard mail to customers, file documentation in centralized location, and purge files as required per retention requirements.
  • Contractor shall update tickets in Sharepoint.
  • Contractor shall be required to lift up to 10lbs.
  • Contractor shall be comfortable working in a warehouse.
  • Contractor shall interact professionally with all levels of management within the organization
  • No travel required for this task order.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years’ experience
  • Ability to work independently on routine office tasking and work efforts.
  • Ability to operate proficiently utilizing Windows Office suite of software to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of the NAWCWD organizational structure is a plus.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Detail oriented
  • Sharepoint experience
  • Data entry experience
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Obtain and maintain an interim and/or Final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
