Project Manager - Air & Ocean Freight
Altius Talent is partnering with a renowned global logistics company seeking an exceptional Project Manager specializing in Air & Ocean Freight. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced professional ready to manage and deliver complex projects within the logistics domain.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage end-to-end freight forwarding projects, focusing on Air & Ocean freight.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and customer service, to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that could impact project success.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients and senior management.
- Facilitate the completion of project-related RFQs.
- Work closely with carriers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to optimize the shipping process and resolve any logistical challenges.
- Manage shipping documents, customs clearance, and other necessary paperwork to ensure efficient cargo movement and pick-ups.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in Freight Forwarding & International Logistics.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects within Air & Ocean freight forwarding.
- Exceptional project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Ability to travel as required.
