Altitude Group has enjoyed nearly a decade of double-digit growth in new sales, and as we continue to grow, one of our top-producing sales teams is looking to add a bold salesperson and leader to our team! We are seeking the type of person who has superior self-awareness, a high level of integrity, and a strong personality who wants to lead from the front.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Tough-minded, confident, purposeful, and goal-driven
"See a need, meet a need" mentality
Desires an active leadership role within a dynamic, competitive team
Skilled at overcoming objections and asking for the sale, not afraid of rejection
Willing to dedicate 45-50 hours per week to this position
Cares about producing outstanding results
Able to work independently regularly with little to no oversight
Sharp, intuitive, and able to master systems and processes quickly
Excellent at coaching, teaching, and inspiring others
The Role:
Your immediate primary goal is to thoughtfully connect with business owners and key decision-makers at small and medium-sized businesses within your sales territory through in-person sales calls. You will not be required to report to an office; instead, you will spend most of your day out and about, working in your territory, building rapport with potential clients, and offering some of the best supplemental benefits plans in the industry to your clients through product presentations. You will be expected to present to clients and close sales at an initial meeting, or set an appointment to return and close the sale at a future date.
Potentially fast-tracked into a Sales Team Lead position upon mastering our basic sales processes and systems and achieving certain key sales metrics out in the sales field. A background in college-level or higher athletics, military, bartending or a similar service industry, or simply a proven track record of outstanding performance and promotability in a chosen career field is preferred (but not required). In addition to making sales, you will set sales appointments, close sales, report daily and weekly sales metrics, set up your weekly schedule with goals in advance each week, and participate in all sales team meetings as necessary. May earn lucrative pay and training bonuses for training and leading new sales reps well.
Our #1 priority is finding someone who aligns with our culture and our mission, which is to provide a career environment that brings out the best in our people and empowers them to build careers here which support the things that are the most important to them. The most indispensable quality we're looking for is someone who is a hard charger, a go-getter, and who is only interested in being a key player and leader who leads from the front, rather than some manager pushing the team from the back. If any of this sounds like you, we're eager to speak with you!
Requirements and Skills:
Proven work experience in customer service, sales, training or similar role
Experience in an outside sales position is a plus
Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning
Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms
Excellent organizational skills
Solid communication and presentation abilities
Compensation and Benefits:
Virtual classroom training as well as hands-on sales training in your territory
Weekly pay with bonuses and commission eligibility upon start
Major medical benefits available after first 90 days
Quarterly and annual incentive trips, cash bonuses, stock share bonuses, and lifetime-vested renewal commissions
Advancement and promotions based on personal performance
Excellent ongoing professional development, advanced sales training, and leadership training
Increased schedule flexibility once you have an established book of business
Work around other like-minded, driven, caring people in a culture that feels like a family
Additional Position Qualifications:
Already licensed in Health & Life general lines (or willing and able to obtain Health & Life producer license - company licensing reimbursement offered)
Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience. Candidates within 6 months or less of degree completion will be considered, as will candidates with less than 4 years of professional work experience who have relevant or specialized outside sales experience.
