JOB DESCRIPTION
This position involves managing accounts with a focus on achieving revenue goals through strategic renewal and upsell opportunities. The role requires a consultative approach, balancing customer needs with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will leverage interpersonal skills to build partnerships with customers and brokers, ensuring beneficial outcomes for all stakeholders.
This role covers a territory spanning from Erie, PA to Charleston, WV. The ideal candidate would reside centrally between these cities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Revenue Management : Maintain and grow the revenue base through upsells and account retention, enhancing financial gains at renewal.
  • Strategic Account Management : Proactively manage accounts to deliver optimal solutions, balancing client and business needs.
  • Renewal Strategies : Develop renewal strategies and rate recommendations based on financial analysis, aiming for mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Pipeline Management : Oversee a 2 year outlook pipeline, driving opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Analytical Application : Use analytical skills and market knowledge to lead deal tactics in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Presentations and Reviews : Create effective presentations and conduct impactful business reviews to demonstrate the value of our products.
  • Customer Liaison : Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring exceptional customer experience by liaising between customers and internal teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Coordinate account services and develop high-quality partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Problem Resolution : Resolve customer concerns promptly and creatively, identifying opportunities to enhance services/processes for all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education and Experience : 2 years healthcare or dental account management with a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Analytical Skills : Advanced business math and analytical skills to position financial outcomes that support revenue goals.
  • Consultative Selling : Excellent consultative selling and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
  • Time Management : Strong time management skills, capable of managing overlapping projects under tight deadlines.
  • Independent Work : Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on formal business presentations.
  • Collaboration : Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Problem-Solving : Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and generate results.
  • Attention to Detail : Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Travel : 50% travel, including overnight stays, use of a personal car, and the ability to manage expenses. A monthly car allowance and remote work stipend are provided.
  • Technical Proficiency : Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and CRM (Salesforce).
Licenses
  • Driver's License : Valid in-state driver's license required. Must obtain required industry licensing within 90 days of hire and maintain it through Continuing Education requirements.
  • State Life and Health Producer License : Required within 90 days of hire.
Base Pay Information
The national base pay range at the end is a good faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications, and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity. $59,000 - $130,900
