Alpha Senior Concepts is seeking a courteous, detail-oriented Maintenance Specialist to join our team. Ideal candidate will have previous maintenance experience. The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the buildings and grounds in state of good repair, cleanliness and attractive appearance.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish and carry out preventive maintenance programs
• Maintain neat, clean interior and exterior of buildings
• Inspect buildings and grounds and repair items identified as needing repair; replace light bulbs
• Trouble shoot major mechanical issues and coordinate service with vendors
• Ensure that lawns and flower beds are manicured and watered
• Ensure driveways, parking areas and walkways are plowed, cleared of snow and salted
• Complete daily work requests for residents and staff
• Refurbish living units for next occupant
• Perform routine checks of water temperature, fire extinguishers and smoke detectors
• Participate in monthly fire drill
• Assist with setup and cleanup for special events
• Maintain friendly and courteous demeanor with all residents, staff and visitors

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous maintenance experience
• Knowledge of HVAC equipment and fire protection systems
• Desire to work with older adults
