This is a full time position with occasional long days and weekend work, but you will have the freedom to make your own schedule. Evenings and weekends won’t be required, but of course you’ll see greater and faster success if you choose to be available evenings and weekends. The In-Home Salesman is the person who is accountable for accurate estimations of project including labor and materials needed to get the job done. This is all done on a simple easy to use software. After jobs are sold, the salesman is required for turning in projects to our office manager who then schedules and turns over to our Project Manager. This position may require driving to and from areas in a 50 mile radius of Burnsville. NOTE: We only work in the state of North Carolina.
Suggested Requirements and Qualifications
2 years of experience in managing a team
2 years of experience in managing a budget
Proven track record of success
Demonstrates a commitment to customers
Strong communication skills
Strong work ethic, ambitious
Self-motivated and results oriented
Ability to work independently
Technical knowledge of the painting trade is not absolutely necessary, but would give you a leg up in learning the processes.
We currently do not have a company vehicle for this position, so you must have reliable transportation with current insurance. In order to be considered, you must have a clean and valid driver's license with no restrictions, and must have a working smartphone.
Attention to detail and ability to follow and apply written instruction is an absolute must for the job. Incomplete applications and applicants who do not submit both a resume and cover letter will not be considered.
If you are currently working with a local painter or for another painting company in or around Asheville or WNC, we can be discreet about communication if necessary. However, we are advocates of respect and we do our best to maintain a positive working relationship with other painting companies in and around the area. We will require that you give proper notice to your current employer if this is the case.
