Assists in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to the residents and assists in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils and food plates. Assists the cook with food preparation, delivers meals to resident units, cleans kitchen including: washing plates, cups, utensils, pots & pans; sweep and wash floors; cleaning equipment and work areas.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Know and follow proper protocol with infectious control management.
- Apply safe food-handling techniques.
- Protect residents' rights and confidentiality.
- Possess motor coordination and manual dexterity required to prepare food and operate dietary equipment.
The ideal candidate will have flexibility availability of hours and days, including weekends and holidays.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to meet all health, compliance, and competency requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to complete required orientation as directed by the facility.
- Has successfully completed state-required background check and is eligible to work in the facility.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This job requires significant physical activities including standing, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
