Nuclear Medicine Technologist Registered
Base Rate: $20/hr
• Weekend rate: $30/hr
• OT Rate: $70/hr
• Call Back rate: $70/hr
• On-Call rate: $4/hr
• Stipend: $2,500/week (if eligible)
Up to $3,300/ week (w/o OT)
Possible travel relocation if eligible.
Work HoursRegular Full-time Day Shifts. Varying 8-hour shifts covering Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week for full-time employees. Occasional holidays, being on-call, and overtime may be required.
Description of Position
Performs all types of Nuclear Medicine procedures. Performs equipment quality control and radiation monitoring. Receives, records, dispenses, administers, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals. Prepares and monitors patients for stress cardiac studies. Sets up, calculates and infuses cardiac drugs. Labels blood cells with radiopharmaceuticals, performs computer processing on acquired data. Performs numerical analysis as needed. Maintains regulatory requirements as set forth by the Nuclear Regulatory Committee (NRC), Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO ), Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), and State Department of Health.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Science or related field preferred. Certification by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required; National Registered Radiologic Technologist preferred. Two (2) to four (4) years of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
