Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures. Being a Nuclear Medicine Lab Technologist requires a bachelor's degree. Follows radiation safety techniques when disposing radioactive materials. In addition, Nuclear Medicine Lab Technologist typically reports to chief technologist or manager. Typically requires American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A ...RRT), or the American Society of Clinical Pathology. Typically requires state licensure for technologists.
