The Opportunity

As a part of the Dealer Credit Administration team, the Credit Associate is responsible for providing support directly and indirectly to our dealer customers.

Perform daily tasks that support and accurately maintain our dealers wholesale accounts including : processing manufacturer receivables and associated adjustments, assisting dealers with daily inventory management (e.

g., creation of receivables, inventory transfers), facilitating daily ACH transactions, ensuring accurate posting of all payments and balancing of general ledger accounts, researching and completing daily exception reporting.

The Work Itself

The Credit Admin position covers a variety of administrative tasks including, but not limited to the following :

  • Providing support to our internal and external customers in handling the retail and SmartAuction onboarding process for new accounts.
  • Ability to review and ensure accuracy in documentation provided by dealerships
  • Completing all processes within retail onboarding in line with our regulations and policy
  • Working with the Quality Control team to obtain their approvals for the Pre-close and Post-close process
  • Ability to work within the Salesforce application to generate accounts and opportunities that fall in line with each dealership where we are offering retail accommodations
  • Ensure proper electronic storage of executed documentation
  • Working in a shared email inbox which includes miscellaneous emails that relate to retail-only dealership accounts
  • Completing key-entry for internal systems for each dealership we onboard (i.e., ACCM, Salesforce, Webtool, SmartCash, SmartAuction)
  • Contacting banks to verify account and routing number information prior to SmartCash activation
  • Complete standard initial screenings on all new Ally customers
  • Complete Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process for any CDD triggers

The Skills You Bring

  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recent college graduate preferred
  • 2 years' experience in financial services or similar industry. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related emphasis may be considered in place of experience.
  • Performs administrative and technically based supporting tasks.
  • Requires proficient use of all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Presents strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of automotive dealership operations is a plus.
