Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.
The Opportunity This role is on a hybrid schedule. In office weekly with some remote days during the week.
As Manager of Leadership Development, you have a passion for helping people learn and grow. You will lead complex projects of varying scope to assess, design and develop programs and content. You will act as a program manager for leadership development programs, consultant on learning strategies, and marketer of our learning and development resources as a valued center of excellence within Ally. Your learning solutions will be aligned to business priorities and help advance an inclusive culture where people feel cared for and connected personally and professionally. You will consult and partner with HR and business leaders to diagnose skill gaps and build scalable, sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.
The Work Itself
  • Assess, design, implement, lead, manage, and facilitate enterprise programs in support of the overall enterprise Learning and Development strategy
  • Manage end-to-end leadership development programs including the New Manager Experience
  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of programs and development efforts
  • Look externally at industry best practices and drive continuous innovation
  • Lead, manage, and develop others, including coaching on leadership, consulting, facilitation and instructional design
  • Facilitate leadership development courses in virtual and in-person environments
  • May be tasked with leading new initiatives or projects
  • Apply business knowledge into strategic learning activities and execute strategies and methods in alignment with enterprise goals
Skills The Skills You Bring
  • 5 years of learning & development experience
    • 3-5 years in leadership or leadership development experience preferred
    • 5 years in financial services or customer service industry preferred
  • Ability to propose, develop and execute tactical planning aligned to department strategy
  • Ability to manage projects and programs of varying complexity
  • Solves problems ranging from routine in nature to those of higher complexity
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate leadership courses and customize communications to various audiences
  • Serve as a trusted and valued business partner; be seen as a leader both internally and externally.
  • Ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience managing vendors and contracts preferred
  • Have a strong and proven track record of results and credibility; maintain confidentiality; act with integrity.
  • Instructional design expertise in varied modalities to include instructor- led, web-based, and video-based content development.
  • Ability to review/interpret data and come to conclusions and provide meaningful recommendations and/or reports.
