Job Description

Allied Universal® Technology Servicesis hiring a Director of Engineering. The Director of Engineering will ensure that the field organization is engaging Engineering as prescribed and utilizing Engineering's work product as intended. Primarily a quality and compliance assurance role, the Director drives the overall quality and compliance of the engineering standards, ensuring all engineering objectives are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide compliance management for all engineering standards, policy, and procedures
  • Provide quality assurance and accountability for all engineering deliverables
  • Develop, issue, and manage all updates and modifications to Engineering Standards
  • Lead all training needs for Engineering, Operation and Service teams for compliance with the policy and procedure
  • Lead and direct Service Managers in building and maintaining an effective service organization committed to customer and employee satisfaction and profitable growth
  • Respond and escalated issues in field; follow up on internal requests and develop policy modifications for engineering efficiencies
  • Liaise with Operations, Sales, and Service departments for all engineering issues
  • Develop and drive selection of proven solutions and products.
  • Continually review and drive improvement of the Engineering Standards
  • Ensure Quality Assurance and Control of all engineering activities; ensure conformance to Allied Universal Technology Services requirements
  • Maintaining effective internal communications; build solid internal relationships with Operations and Service teams
  • Create Key Performance Indicators for performance reporting for Computer Aided Design (CAD) and pre- and post-sale engineering teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current driver's license if operation a company- or customer-owned vehicle
  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory engineering experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of policy development and implementation experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge of writing and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word).
  • Coordinate engineering activities with company peers and staff as required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrate good time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong, planning and policy development skills.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication and follow-up skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate and influence others
  • Must be familiar with and able to analyze and manipulate electronic (software based) management tools including metrics, dashboards for measuring KPIs and or CPIs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree in engineering, electronics, management, or related field

  • Eight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal days
  • Vacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly. Unused vacation is only paid out where required by law.

Pay Range: $120k-$150k
