In this position, you’ll collect and enter accurate information for new, existing, and prospective clients that serves as the foundation for decisions made by your insurance underwriter counterparts. Responsibilities:

• Track, manage, and prioritize insurance policy applications and other services by acting as the primary communicator between underwriters and clients
• Compile data and analytics for reports that can advise insurance policy guidelines and whether coverage should be provided
• Support the development of accurate policy recommendations for existing and prospective customers by verifying that all records in underwriting software programs are accurate and complete
• Call, email, and meet with applicants to collect and assess insurance information that will guide the risk assessment process and provides underwriting support
• Share policy approvals, rejections, or other related determinations promptly with colleagues and clients

• Assume the role of communication between carrier and support staff in order to track, manage, and prioritize services
• Review both new and renewal policies for accuracy
• Review changes to client policies for accuracy

Qualifications:

• Working as an administrative assistant or similar, or a role in the insurance industry is a plus
• Must be detail-oriented to collect and maintain accurate client records
• Designation as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred but not required
• Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, finance, or similar is necessary
• Exemplary interpersonal and communications skills
