SUMMARYResponsible for working with account team in processing renewals, conducting and analyzing marketing, preparing financial summaries and providing general technical support for assigned accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Exhibits proven competence in all Benefits Analyst I duties and knowledge requirements;• Possesses thorough comprehension of all major fully-insured lines of benefits insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability, EAP);• Initiates recurring analyst renewal projects on assigned accounts (pre-renewal spreads, carrier renewal process initiation, information requests, etc.);• Competently reviews carrier utilization reporting to identify key cost drivers and suggests possible plan design changes;• Coordinates and assists in renewal challenges (underwriting);• Possesses ability to create new financial reporting package from templates as needed;• Possesses ability to conduct provider network comparison analysis (access disruption analysis);• Reviews team members work for accuracy and completeness as needed;• Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);• Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceOne (1) or more years related work experienceValid insurance license (or must be obtained within 90 days of employment)Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewalBasic knowledge of compliance topics (HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, Medicare).
