JOB OPPORTUNITY- Quality Assurance Manager

Turner Dairy is once again excited to add more talent to our team. Turner Dairy Farms, a family-owned company, is looking for a career-minded individual to safeguard product safety and quality while meeting company and regulatory standards. This person is responsible for ensuring that the production and distribution of products meets or exceeds all quality standards. This is an onsite, mid-level, full-time position working 40 hours per week.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•Ensure all quality standards and specifications are met/exceeded.

•Monitor compliance to accepted internal and regulatory standards from receipt of raw milk and ingredients to shipments of finished products.

•Ensure products and processes are safe and meet regulatory requirements.

•HACCP coordinator; complete all HACCP records.

•SQF Practitioner

•Maintain contact for PA Department of Agriculture, FDA, USDA

•Maintain Master Cleaning and inspection program.

•Manage environmental swab program.

•Maintain and complete all records required by federal, state, and local authorities.

•Must follow all FSMA, GMP, SQF, HACCP & Safety Policies and Procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

•Bachelor’s degree in a science-based area of study such as Food Science, Dairy Production, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology

•Achieve and maintain Approved Sampler Permit from the PA Department of Agriculture

•Must achieve and maintain PMO Appendix N lab analyst certificate, IMS HACCP Certification, SQF Certification, FSMA Certification, and Sensory Training

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:

•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

•Math skills including basic understanding of statistics.

•Strong management, multitasking, and communication skills

•Experience in a manufacturing environment.

•Ongoing education of machinery, best practices, and OSHA regulations by attending classes or seminars

•Must have a positive attitude and a desire to work with and help others.
