A local full-service job shop has an opening for a Punch Press Operator.
Pay: $18-$20/hr DOE.
Punch Press Operator Hours:
6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Monday - Friday with overtime as needed
Punch Press Operator Responsibilities:
- Setup punch press and deep draw machines with minimal supervision.
- Report damage to tooling to Operations Manager Punch Press Lead.
- Operate punch press and deep draw machines.
- Work with Material Handler to stage incoming parts and materials efficiently; Navigate controller to make adjustments.
- Work with Quality Inspectors to conduct First Part Inspections.
- Conduct In-Process Inspections as required by the Quality Department.
- Perform daily checklist for punch press and deep draw machine maintenance and safety checks.
- Maintain organized and clean workspace including desk area, toolboxes, punch presses and deep draw machines, outgoing and incoming material staging areas, and tooling area.
- Complete other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Punch Press Lead.
- Minimum 1 year Setting up and running a Punch Press.
- Proven manufacturing experience; Knowledge of manufacturing systems and procedures.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to work well with others from a variety of occupational backgrounds.
