Positions are 1st, 2nd, and weekend shifts available!
JOB STATEMENT:
Set up, operate, or tend machinery that bends metal work pieces according to production schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specs, using templates or rulers.
- Examine completed work pieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications locations of c-angle.
- Load metal work pieces into machines.
- Set up, operate, or tend machines to bend metal material.
- Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
- Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
- Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades, or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
- Clean and lubricate machines.
- Position, align, and secure work pieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.
- Keep work area clean and neat.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One to two years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
