Allegheny County Department Human Services is Hiring a Senior Coordinator for Anayltics and Development (Closes 5/7/2024) Near Pittsburgh, PA

Summary

The Senior Coordinator for Analytics and Development is a professional position within the Office of Developmental Supports (ODS), Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS). This position is responsible for project administration including communicating with stakeholders, monitoring and reporting progress of projects, assessing project risks and analyzing data/patterns/trends as appropriate.

The Senior Coordinator for Analytics and Development is a leadership position, best served with an independent, organized, motivated, and empathetic employee who brings a robust knowledge of human services systems within Allegheny County. They are a recognized leader in their field and continuously advocating for the rights of individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ID)/Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role interacts with other professionals throughout DHS and the community on a regular basis.

The Senior Coordinator for Analytics and Development will evaluate potential projects for their ability to educate stakeholders and community members in the use of evidence-based practices that enhance the health and wellbeing of individuals and their families, and work to develop services using the LifeCourse Framework that reflect our Every Day Lives: Values in Action and Self-Determination philosophy. 

Position requires some travel to family/individual homes or other community locations for visits. Flexible hours may be required. Travel within and outside the county is also required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicating clearly and efficiently with all team members, both internal and external, to assure program effectiveness
  • Overseeing the Systemic Analysis and Consultation activities of projects under the umbrella of the Promising Practice Team
  • Providing ODS leadership in the PA START Allegheny Pilot program, via regular meetings, in person and virtually, in cooperation with vendor (RHD) START Program Director, and Clinical Director.
    • Collaborating with members of the START leadership team and NCSS staff to monitor quality of START service delivery and assures fidelity to the START model.
    • Serving as a liaison between Allegheny DHS and START
    • Leading and participating as a member of the PA START Allegheny Referral Review
    • Managing all communication related to START deferred/wait list
    • Completing, submitting and presenting reports, both formal and informal, to ODP, OMHSAS, DHS Administration, NCSS, Advisory Boards or Councils, and external stakeholders related to the START program.
    • Communicating with the National Center for START Services (NCSS)
    • Supporting START in the development of educational/training/public relations
    • Reinforcing START principles when participating in ODS activities
  • Working from knowledge of existing system and community resources and assisting individuals/families/teams in locating additional available resources.
  • Understanding and utilizing Trauma Informed Care principles to guide planning activities.
  • Utilizing functional behavioral assessment (FBA) principles to guide planning activities.
  • Incorporating Community of Practice LifeCourse framework and tools as appropriate.
  • Participating in internal complex case reviews using information from Client Information System (CIS), Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and internal ODS records.
  • Collaborating with ODP as needed related to Complex Case Reviews.
  • Providing resource information and support to Supports Coordination Units.
  • Exploring best practices related to Biographical Timelines, creative therapies and other resources.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable of child and adult serving systems within the Department of Human
  • Possessing skills necessary to gauge system effectiveness of the START Model and related
  • Ability to strategize, manage and oversee projects with competing priorities.
  • Excellent writing
  • Clearly communicate with diverse audiences of clients, stakeholders and partners.
  • Ability to plan, organize and participate in multi-system
  • Excellent interpersonal and group facilitation and mediation
  • Experience collaborating with community service systems and supporting individual and group clinical applications with people experiencing DD and MH/Behavioral Health challenges.
  • Experience with DD/ID/A and MH case management
  • Working knowledge of Drop Box, On Base, HCSIS, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrated project management skills, experience in designing and planning
  • Have both available and consistent access to reliable transportation and navigate in the community for related work assignments.

Education/Experience Requirements

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or other human service field, plus 2 years’ experience working with people with IDD and behavioral health needs. Two years’ supervisory experience preferred.

Act 33, 34 & FBI clearances.
