All Jobs is Hiring a Financial Analyst Near Des Moines, IA

The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial reporting and pricing/contract analysis associated with Care Purchasing Services (CPS), a group purchasing organization. Analyst will collaborate with Senior Finance Manager and other CPS leadership to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, analyze client performance, aid in business decision support, and provide other training and support as needed.

Analyst must be capable of managing and prioritizing individual workload to ensure delivery of appropriate information by relevant date.

The Role: 

  • Supports routine financial analysis for CPS to determine past financial performance and project financial performance for:
  • Planning, budgeting, and projections/outlooks
  • Profitability analysis
  • Pricing trends
  • Benchmarking analysis and reporting
  • Long range financial modeling (5 – 10 year horizon)
  • Performs comprehensive financial analysis related to the business
  • Works closely with LCS Accounting to ensure sound financial practices and reporting including:
  • Accurate vendor accruals and payments
  • Rebate and incentive tracking
  • Pricing implementation
  • Business Development activity and commission tracking
  • Evaluates data, audit pricing, and the provision of contract management services as it relates to CPS’ products and services used in client operations.
  • Assists with vendors/distributors/manufacturers’ contract negotiations and renewals by providing, but not limited to, the following.
    • Financial market intel
    • Financial impact
    • Predictive analytics for contract “what if” scenarios
    • Other data analysis (including vendor and member activity analysis
  • Aggregates standardized vendor reporting into a function database to be used for historical analysis, market/industry evaluation, and projections
  • Conducting research through spreadsheets or other systems to create and maintain accurate reoccurring reports such as Cost Savings Analyses (CSAs)
  • Coordinating with LCS procurement and finance teams to provide information and support for DCS activity as well as utilization reporting; while providing all key reports to Forum organization.
  • Updates and creates reporting tools and models as needed

Experience: 

  • Four year degree in accounting/finance and 2-4 years of related experience
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis for a department is a plus
  • Knowledge of or experience with a group purchasing organization is a plus

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Flexible and able to handle changing priorities and interruptions
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of people including accounting, asset management, operations, information technology, and all levels of LCS and CPS personnel
  • Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to solve financial problems of medium difficulty
  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.) including a strong handle on Excel and willingness to learn. Should include Database proficiency
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Use of proper grammar, content, and identified standards/format.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities, prioritize work schedules, and complete tasks by desired due dates.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet organizational deadlines.

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000-$78,000

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
