All Faiths - Children's Advocacy Center is Hiring a Case Tracker/Data Analyst Near Albuquerque, NM

Position: Case Tracker/Data Analyst

Essential Functions: This position requires the expertise, training and judgment to provide advocacy, support and education to children and their families seen within the forensic program. In addition, this position will be pivotal in tracking case progress in the following systems: Law enforcement, Judicial and CYFD. In addition, this position provides daily support of data collection and analysis to flag high priority cases.

Case Tracking Specific Duties:

  • Program victim support duties, such as telephone intake of referrals for forensic interviews, scheduling and coordination among professionals who attend the interview, assisting with NCAtrak data entry and billing support on a daily basis.
  • Understand and use NCAtrak as it pertains to entering new victim case data and the tracking of case dispositions.
  • Manage contact and relationships with outside partner agencies such as law enforcement, CYFD, medical personnel, DA’s Office, etc…
  • Track and enter into NCAtrak case dispositions, both current and past.
  • Provide crisis intervention to the family and assess for any changes service needs after the forensic interview, if needed.
  • Assist family in developing and identifying appropriate point of contact such as detective, social worker, or advocate handling their case.
  • Inform family of case status and remain involved to provide support, education and referral, throughout the case process.
  • Participate in supervisory meetings and attend trainings and conferences, as requested by the Program Director.
  • Assistance in the maintenance of the file room and client chart organization.
  • Utilize outside agencies data systems in order to obtain case status information.

Data Analyst Specific Duties:

  • Understand and use NCAtrak as it pertains to the tracking of case dispositions.
  • Track and enter into NCAtrak case dispositions, both current and past.
  • Participate in the development of a system for flagging cases that should be priority for case tracking.
  • Track case information such as CPS status, law enforcement disposition and case resolution with the District Attorney’s Office.
  • Participate in communication and coordination of services with other MDT agencies and the family in order to support families after the forensic interview to case resolution.
  • Document services provided, according to agency and grant requirements and guidelines.
  • Attend, participate and offer recommendations during monthly case review meeting with partnering agencies.
  • Program administrative support duties, as requested or required, e.g. telephone intake of referrals for interviews, scheduling and coordination among professionals who attend the interview.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required to Perform the Job

  • Understanding of family dynamics in child sexual abuse and child abuse investigation methods.
  • Working knowledge of Crisis Intervention theory, dynamics of trauma recovery and case coordination skills.
  • Sensitivity to cultural/ethnic differences. Bilingual skills are highly desirable.
  • Objectivity and willingness to work within the guidelines, policy and standards of the Children’s Advocacy Center.
  • Excellent self-awareness and communication skills, regarding assertiveness, boundaries and learning style preferences.
  • Ability to function as a team member, with initiative and flexibility.
  • Organizational skills, with good attention to details, and ability to handle multiple responsibilities with discretion.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with young children and families.
  • Travel to partner agencies when needed.

Education Required:

  • High school, plus three (3) years relevant experience, or
  • AA degree, plus one (1) year relevant experience, or
  • BA degree in a social services field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
