Description

All Energy Solar is seeking a full time Controller to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this position will oversee all aspects of finance and accounting, including day to day operations, month-end processes, and financial reporting and analysis. This individual will reinforce best practices and manage tactical finance operations while building trust and positive relationships with leaders throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory management, and cash management.
• Oversee the monthly closing process. Generate and review month end and year end accruals, prepaids, adjusting G/L journal entries and G/L account reconciliations.
• Assist in the development and management of budgets and forecasts in relation to the approved organizational goals and key metrics.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and consistency with company policies. Analyze budget to actual variances and communicate results to Management.
• Achieve budget objectives by monitoring expenditure against plan and supporting department managers in understanding and controlling department costs.
• Liaise and manage the relationship with audit & insurance vendor partners.
• Own local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and maintain financial systems, dashboards, and other financial tools and reports.
• Oversee and manage annual audits and tax returns.
• Develop, implement and monitor accounting internal control policies and procedures. Establish controls in compliance with all GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Lead the business accounting team and support direct reports in developing their knowledge and expertise.
• Identify, create, and implement process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10 years of related experience required
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• High level of integrity and dependability

Compensation

• Pay commensurate with experience
• This is a full-time, exempt position
• PTO accrued up to 80 hours in the first year, increasing to 120 hours after the first year
