Pharmacy Tech details:

We are seeking an experienced, hospitality minded Compounding Pharmacy Tech who wants to grow with our team. You will be primarily handling in/outbound calls for prescription updates and entering new/refill prescription orders. Depending on your level of compounding experience, you may cross-train or assist in the preparation of medications under the direction of a pharmacist and pharmacy manager in the compounding lab.

Pharmacy Tech responsibilities:

• Handle in/outbound patient calls for prescription updates, order entry
• Process prescriptions and maintain records using pharmacy specific software
• Operate register and assist patients picking up medications
• Prepare compound medications and other healthcare products for patients
• Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
• Label and record dosage information
• Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
• Proactively help with administrative tasks that support overall pharmacy function

Qualifications:

· Current TSBP (Texas) registration in good standing required

· Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

· Strong customer service skills

· At least one year of prescription data entry and insurance adjudication required

· Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician preferred

· Familiarity with Microsoft office suite preferred

· Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds

· Inventory management

· Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
