Aline is seeking a motivated, organized, and hard-working Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting responsibilities and help establish scalable processes that impact the entire organization. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with individuals and teams across the organization to review, enter, and manage accounting transactions, as well as ensure compliance with GAAP and the accuracy and integrity of financial systems and reporting.The ideal candidate must work well in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize responsibilities in a rapidly growing and dynamic company. The Senior Accountant will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as a passion for continually learning and being proactive in identifying and assisting with the implementation of processes to strengthen the accounting function. The Senior Accountant must also have great attention to detail and a professional presence when interacting with internal and external stakeholders. This position will report to the VP, Controller.RequirementsAssist with the Order to Cash process, including reviewing contracts and invoices, acquiring approvals, establishing system records, maintaining documents, collaborating with others to resolve issues, and posting customer paymentsActively manage Accounts Receivable to ensure account accuracy and decrease DSO. This includes customer outreach and cross-collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, and ProductPrepare, review, and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules as part of the monthly close processPerform necessary tax compliance activities. This includes preparing, reviewing, and submitting timely state and local tax returns and sales tax returnsInteract with internal teams and external parties for inquiries and requests in a timely manner and with a dedication to quality and experienceCreate, improve, and document general processes for accounting transactions and functionsAssist with identifying risks, implementing controls, and maintaining supporting documentation to ensure compliance with GAAPProvide support for our year-end audit, tax compliance, and the annual budget processComplete special requests and ad-hoc projects, as neededMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred3 years of experience in a similar or related role in a dynamic or startup environment (preferably SaaS)Solid understanding of general accounting practices and US GAAPExcellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbalAble to effectively prioritize, meet established goals, and perform in a fast and dynamic environmentAbility to proactively and independently identify and resolve issues in a timely fashionAble to work independently and collaborativelyAble to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgmentMeticulous attention to detail and excellent critical thinkingA strong work ethic and desire to continually grow and develop professionallyComfort with ambiguity and a “no job too small” mentalityDemonstrate and understand EQ with the teamAdaptable and comfortable in a growing and flexible companyFamiliarity with NetSuite or similar ERP and integrated software (e.g., Salesforce, Ramp)Expertise using Microsoft Office (Excel) and other Microsoft products
