We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthodontic Clinical Team Lead to join our team. As the Clinical Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the clinical operations of our orthodontic practice. This position requires a strong background in orthodontics, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the clinical team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols
- Train and mentor new clinical team members, ensuring they are knowledgeable in orthodontic procedures and protocols
- Assist with patient care, including taking X-rays, recording vital signs, and preparing treatment rooms
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean clinical environment
- Manage patient records, including accurate documentation of treatment plans and progress notes
- Collaborate with the orthodontist to develop treatment plans and coordinate patient care
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of clinical supplies
- Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Orthodontic Clinical Assistant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures, terminology, and instruments
- Proficiency in medical coding and records management
- Experience with CAD software for digital treatment planning is preferred
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix) is required
- Ability to take accurate X-rays and record vital signs
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in dental administration is beneficial
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system is a plus
