ALIGN PRECISION - CLEARWATER, LLC is Hiring a CNC Maintenance Technician Near Pinellas Park, FL

CNC Maintenance Technician provides mechanical, electrical and control support to production and development machining and fabrication teams. A large variety of machine configurations and OEMs are supported including 5 axis mill turn applications, and lathes. The CNC Maintenance Technicians are responsible for preventative maintenance and modification of that machinery and repair. The position will require collaboration and critical thinking to troubleshoot unique equipment issues and develop quick resolutions in a demanding environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Maintain and repair all assets to ensure their proper operating condition.
  • Provide preventative and correct maintenance on various complex CNCs: 5 axis milling, mill turn applications, horizontal and vertical lathes.
  • Schedule and execute on-time preventative maintenance plans.
  • Troubleshoot, and repair control and electrical system failures involving PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, input/output, and field sensors.
  • Troubleshoot and repair various machine tool hydraulic and pneumatic systems including actuators, valves, pumps, and filters.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machine tool mechanical systems including ballscrews, linear rails, guideways, and gearboxes.
  • Drive forklifts.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School Degree (GED)
  • Work experience in industrial or in commercial work environment
  • Experience with manual skills related to facility maintenance
  • Knowledge about repair work

Preferred additional Education and / or Experience

  • 5 years in a CNC shop maintenance position
  • 3 years of experience with one or more of the following CNC control systems: Okuma, Fanuc and Haas
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the application & operation of precision machine tools in aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift and other related inventory equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and drawings.
  • Ability to use power tools and hand tools as well as heavy equipment.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industry standards.
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgency.
  • Analytic thinker that gets to the root of problems and comes up with permanent solutions to remedy issues.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with others.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
