Grounds Keeper/Maintenance Technician

TempExperts is recruiting for a Grounds Keeper/Maintenance Technician to join a reputable and well-known Non-Profit in the area. This role will ensure the safe and effective operations of all buildings, grounds, housekeeping and utilities for all assigned properties.
Requirements:

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Preferably 3 plus years maintenance experience in healthcare setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires a valid driver’s license, and a safe driving record.

Must demonstrate skills/abilities in the following areas:

• Ability to write effective summaries and reports as required.
• Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Job Duties:

• Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Recovery: Maintains constant readiness for emergency preparedness and disaster recovery as outlined in the organization's plan and as directed by Operations leadership. Participates in emergency/disaster preparation and recovery and staff a facility when assigned to “ride out a storm”.
• Demonstrates a commitment to life-long learning and professional development by continuously striving to increase own skills, knowledge, and technical expertise.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit or stand for sustained periods of time. Intermittent and prolonged standing and walking to move about facilities and interact staff, families, and patients.
• Visual acuity sufficient to read written materials, to complete paperwork activities, and to drive/Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals in person and by telephone.
• Ability to climb ladders of varying heights, walk on roofs, regularly required to lift weights up to 50lbs.
• When called upon, able to perform maintenance in strenuous conditions, working in tight spaces, varying heights, and weather conditions. Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building.
• Expertise in various tools, systems, and equipment.
