The Alicart Restaurant Group, the name behind the award winning, popular brands Carmine’s NYC Family Style Italian and Virgil’s Real BBQ is in search for a dynamic and detailed oriented Finance Manager. The selected candidate will independently support day-to-day financial activities of Alicart Restaurant Group including the support to produce accurate financial records, assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and other accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance.

The menu features “wow-factor” sized portions making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Our locations span from NYC, Vegas, DC, AC to the Bahamas.

Virgil’s Real Barbecue has been acclaimed as one of America’s best BBQ restaurants by leading food critics and has continually been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox TV. The menu was developed after extensive research in the back roads of the south and highlights the best of the best of BBQ from Memphis, Carolina, Kansas City, and Texas. Virgil’s Real BBQ is located in NYC and Vegas.

Your Role with Us:

• Manage online vendor payments and EDI relationships.
• Supervise two Junior Staff Accountants and work closely with the operations to understand issues that arise. Proactive positive approach is extremely valuable.
• Manage weekly invoicing process and review significant pricing variances with operations, using R365 (Accounting Software).
• Work closely with Special Event team to understand applied payments and invoicing discrepancies, using Tripleseat.
• Manage daily sales reconciliation process. (Cash, Credit Cards, 3rd Party delivery platforms, Cash over / short).
• Assist Director of Finance with weekly financial flash reporting, which includes timely invoice review, payroll processing, and accurate sales reporting.
• Manage bank reconciliations.
• Prepare statutory filings including sales tax, rent tax and personal property on a timely manner.
• Assist with the tracking and preparation of various regulatory licenses.

Key Requirements and Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 3 plus years of accounting experience.
• Accounting experience in a restaurant or retail environment highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• MS Excel (Pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Numerical, accounting (GAAP), analytical and problem-solving skills along with being deadline Oriented, meticulous and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of R365 a plus.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
