Acara Solutions is seeking a Payroll Manager to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Tolleson AZ
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing for our organization. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Stay updated on local, state, and federal laws related to payroll, including tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and employment standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective payroll processing and compliance.
  • Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll records.
  • Manage payroll-related audits and inquiries from government agencies.
  • Train and supervise payroll staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare payroll reports and analyses for management as needed.
  • Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry trends related to payroll.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
  • 5 yrs. minimum experience with payroll laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with employees about payroll and benefits
  • Experience with HRIS systems and accounting software is a plus
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor and tax laws
  • Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws governing compensation.
