Aleron is Hiring a Payroll Manager Near Tolleson, AZ
- Manage and oversee the payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Stay updated on local, state, and federal laws related to payroll, including tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and employment standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective payroll processing and compliance.
- Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate employee data and payroll records.
- Manage payroll-related audits and inquiries from government agencies.
- Train and supervise payroll staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare payroll reports and analyses for management as needed.
- Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry trends related to payroll.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field
- 5 yrs. minimum experience with payroll laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with employees about payroll and benefits
- Experience with HRIS systems and accounting software is a plus
- Knowledge of federal and state labor and tax laws
- Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) regulations, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws governing compensation.
