The Estates and Trusts Drafting Paralegal will be responsible for providing legal support and paralegal services on a wide variety of moderate to complex legal matters related to estate planning and administration. Duties will include but are not limited to drafting Estate Plans, legal research, preparation and filing of documents, customer service and support, drafting correspondence, as well as the organization of client data and other administrative initiatives.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Gathering & analyzing financial records
• Drafting Estate Planning Documents
• Drafting estate administration documents
• Drafting Summary Letters
• Drafting Engagement Letters
• Drafting Transfer Letters
• Performing Deed Transfers
• Basic post-mortem accounting
• Legal writing and research
• Filing applications with Federal, State & Local agencies
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• At least 3 years of experience
• Either an associates degree in paralegal studies or a bachelor’s degree
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management software such as Clio/Clio Grow
• Strong legal writing skills
• Strong legal research skills
