Albany Management is seeking an Architectural Designer to design and manage projects for our Commercial office buildings and Residential apartment communities.
Requirements
- Proficient with Auto-CAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), and InDesign (optional).
- Min. 2 year degree in architectural design, construction management, and/or similar education experience: or Min. 5 years’ experience working in a related field.
- Knowledge of NYS building code applications.
- Experience with estimating construction costs for interior office renovations.
- Analytic problem-solving skills with the ability to find the most practical and cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare test fit plans for prospective tenants and prepare marketing plans for proposals.
- Design construction plans and specifications for commercial office tenant fit-ups.
- Tenant liaison for tenant improvement projects. Coordinate and inspect construction projects.
- Select finishes, fixtures, artwork for the common areas of office buildings and apartment communities.
- Scheduling, contractor solicitation, material ordering, pricing and estimating.
- Inspection, investigation, and surveys of existing buildings.
