Akira Technologies, Inc. is Hiring a .NET Developer Near Washington, DC

Akira Technologies is seeking a highly skilled .NET Development Expert to join our team for a critical project supporting the United States Army. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining .NET applications that play a crucial role in enhancing the Army's technological capabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the nation's defense infrastructure while working with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

This role is mostly remote with occasional onsite presence in the DC Metro Area.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain .NET applications to meet project requirements and specifications. 
  • Code Review: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices and coding standards. 
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team, assisting in problem-solving and decision-making processes. 
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and quality assurance engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. 
  • Research and Development: Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in .NET development, actively participating in research and development initiatives to enhance the team's capabilities. 
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user guides, and release notes, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure system transparency. 
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Investigate and resolve technical issues, providing timely support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure the stability and reliability of deployed applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in .NET development, with a strong proficiency in C#. 
  • Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and other relevant frameworks. 
  • Proficiency in front-end development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Angular/React. 
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and software architecture concepts. 
  • Experience with database design and development using SQL Server or similar relational database management systems. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Active Secret clearance.
