AJ Tutoring is Hiring a HR Manager Near Menlo, CA
AJ Tutoring helps students to broaden their college options through professional one-on-one tutoring and counseling. With a team of 300 employees spread across 16 locations in the Bay Area, we're committed to making a meaningful impact.
We are looking for a personable and experienced HR professional to join our team and contribute to our mission. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a positive and trusting company culture and driving HR initiatives that support our employees and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a positive and trusting company culture.
- Manage the hiring process and collaborate closely with Senior Leadership to enhance onboarding and recruitment strategies.
- Oversee the semi-annual review process to ensure continuous employee development.
- Manage employee benefits and HR compliance.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure adherence to evolving California labor laws.
- Address workplace complaints and conduct internal investigations as necessary.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on fostering a respectful workplace, including developing and overseeing internal training programs.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication with various departments.
- Evaluate and improve HR practices, processes, and programs to boost employee engagement and collaboration.
- Implement HR metrics to assess and enhance organizational performance, demonstrating HR's strategic value to the company.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2 years of HR experience
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- A solutions-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Prior HR experience within California is highly desirable.
