Job Description

As a Software Engineer on our software & application engineering team for our CSS (Connected & Sharing Solution) division, you will be responsible for supporting Aisin's LBS (Location Based Services) SDK framework. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop new features and support integration of the LBS SDK onto various platforms.

Position Responsibilities

The Software Engineer is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

• Read and understand existing C projects. Code, debug, and build new projects and libraries in C .
• Able to learn new programming languages to match business needs.
• Participate in code reviews for peers.
• Independently investigate and debug initial issues but disciplined to communicate and request help in order to work productively.
• Thoroughly test software in virtual environments and on real-world hardware.
• Manage time efficiently when working remotely and in-office.

Required Skills and Experience

• Ability to program in C/C , Swift, or Java
• Interest in supporting software development for various environments such as (Linux/Unix, iOS, Android)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a large team environment and collaborate well with peers
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver's license for vehicle test driving

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

• Experience with development for Linux/POSIX
• Experience with mobile application development on iOS and Android
• Fluency with Japanese language.

Attendance/Work Hour Requirements

• Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
• Able to work weekends and holidays if necessary to meet business needs.

Travel Requirements

• Approximately 10% domestic business-related travel, with the possibility for international travel in the future.
• Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
