Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Head Server to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry and possess excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the dining room staff to ensure efficient operation
- Provide guidance and training to servers on service standards and menu knowledge
- Assist in managing reservations and seating arrangements using systems like OpenTable
- Handle guest inquiries, comments, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the dining area
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery
- Manage cash handling procedures and operate the cash register
- Uphold hospitality standards by creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a server or hospitality role
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and working with POS systems like Aloha POS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective guest services
- Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary terminology is a plus
- Ability to sanitate work areas according to health regulations
