Your Mission

  • You will support the troubleshooting and repairs activities on the Final Assembly Line (FAL)
  • You will liaise with Design to Manufacturing team (D2M) to get expertise and dispositions on anomalies
  • You will support the installation and validation of the EGSE on the production stations.
  • You will monitor the quantity of spare EGSE and ensure its readiness for production,
  • You will participate in the repairs management (including discussions and shipment to vendors).
  • You will provide leadership and technical expertise to the electrical technicians
  • You will provide first-level troubleshooting on test bench and test scripts anomalies
  • You will support the creation of processes with D2M to improve the performance and quality of the assembly lines
  • You will support Production Quality Engineering and D2M on work instruction reviews, as well as Process Failure Mode Engineering Analysis (PFMEA)
  • You will identify process and design pain points and propose corrective actions and solutions.
  • You will be responsible for implementing any change on the FAL, coming from flight / ground design or processes changes.
  • You will participate in the Maintenance/Calibrations activities of the means under your responsibility.

This position reports to the US FAL Mission Support Manager and is based in Merritt Island, Florida, USA. Full on-site presence required. Weekend work may be required with appropriate compensation.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Support production engineers and technicians on all topics concerning the electrical equipment and systems.
  • Support the setup, configuration, and commissioning of the production stations.
  • Support EGSE maintenance and repair for the FAL.
  • Support EGSE calibration related activities.
  • Follow-up with suppliers to investigate on anomalies and track repairs
  • Liaise with D2M to prepare the implementation of their requests on the FAL

Your Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Electrical, Industrial Automation) or related discipline
  • 5 years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on automated test systems and spacecraft/satellites manufacturing as a plus
  • Hands-on experience with EGSE
  • Hands-on experience with electrical measurement devices
  • Knowledge about SCADA is a plus
  • Experience working in a clean room environment, understanding of precision cleaning and of the handling/maintaining of clean hardware/systems.
  • Must be able to review and understand both written and electronic procedures and technical documents in English. Verbal French or Spanish a plus
  • Strong commitment at work

Physical Demand

The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. Based on the position an employee is occasionally required to stand for an extended period of time; walk; reach above shoulders; and stoop, kneel, bend, twist or crouch.
  • The employee must occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision.
